AREAL BÖHLER

In 1914, the ground was broken, and five years later 2,500 people were already working in the factory. As a former location of the steel industry, the Areal Böhler looks back on a long history. In times of Industry 4.0, the area underwent a conversion, but the roots are still there for all to see: The old forging hall, annealing furnace hall, cold steel hall and old boiler house are still the names of the parts of the listed buildings today. In this millennium, however, fashion is shown here, health food presented and art exhibited. The Areal Böhler has a total area of 230,000 square metres, the six halls alone offer 18,000 square metres of space and can also be interconnected. An additional 10,000 square metres are available for outdoor events.
