As a connecting axis between the city centre and Oberbilk, the Kölner Strasse shows a completely different facet of Düsseldorf other than the fashionable Königsallee. And yet there is no less to be discovered here. For example, grocery stores from all over the world with aromas of exotic spices, as well as retailers who promote oriental cooking utensils. The NH City Hotel, a round building with a glass roof within walking distance of the main train station, forms the modern business counterpart to the hustle and bustle around it. 322 rooms and six apartments are spread over seven floors. There are also 15 function rooms and a gym with sauna. It is not only the architecture that is up to date: The hotel has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Label for its environmental commitment.
