Düsseldorf and Altbier - they are inseparable. The spicy top-fermented beer of the Schumacher brewery is brewed according to ancient tradition. And that since 1838. The large head office on Oststrasse 123 has existed for 100 years and is a Düsseldorf institution. “Gertrudenstübchen”, “Kaminzimmer” and “Braumeisterstube” are the names of the rooms in which different sized groups can celebrate in exuberant Rhineland style. The “Schwankhalle” offers the most space for 125 people, where work is still done during the day. There is hardly a place where the lifestyle of Düsseldorf can be experienced more authentically.

Another location of the Schumacher brewery is "Im Goldenen Kessel":

The traditional brewery pub 'Im Goldenen Kessel' is located in the middle of Düsseldorf's old town and has been owned by the Schumacher family for over 110 years. In the course of its eventful history, Altbier was also brewed here once. But now, as is so typical in the Rhineland, the businessman meets the postman here, the foreigner with the Düsseldorfer or simply the friend with the friend for a delicious beer - or two.
