Düsseldorf in Focus of Medicine: Five Major Congresses in the Second Half of 2024

The CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf will be the venue for five major medical conferences this autumn. From September to November 2024, experts from various medical fields will gather here to exchange the latest scientific findings and discuss current developments in research and practice.

Medical Autumn at the CCD: From Transfusion Medicine to Neurorehabilitation

Kicking off was the 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Transfusion Medicine and Immunohaematology (DGTI) together with the 31st Annual Meeting of the German Society for Immunogenetics (DGI). For the first time in several years, the two specialist conferences took place as a joint event in Düsseldorf. This significant joint congress brings together leading scientists and professionals from the medical field, setting new standards in interdisciplinary cooperation.

Following seamlessly, from September 13 to 14, 2024, the 34th dagnä workshop took place. This training event is specifically aimed at HIV specialists and outpatient infectious disease physicians and provides a platform for intensive exchange on new developments in infectious diseases. This year, the focus was particularly on innovative treatment approaches and current research findings.

From September 18 to 21, 2024, the German Rheumatology Congress 2024 was held. The congress is the central meeting point for rheumatologists in Germany. With numerous high-profile lectures and interactive discussion rounds, the congress emphasizes the exchange of the latest scientific findings and treatment concepts in rheumatology.

In October, the 54th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (DGPRÄC) is on the agenda. From October 3 to 5, 2024, the latest developments and research findings in plastic and aesthetic surgery will be presented here. The conference offers an outstanding opportunity to discuss ethical aspects and pioneering techniques in plastic surgery.

Capping off this eventful autumn is the 10th Joint Annual Meeting of the German Society for Neurorehabilitation e.V. together with the German Society for Neurotraumatology and Clinical Neurorehabilitation e.V. from November 28 to 30, 2024. The focus here is on the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological diseases. This conference is particularly highlighted by its interdisciplinary approaches and practice-oriented workshops.
