Messe Düsseldorf GmbH accompanies Organisers with Hygiene and Infection Protection Concept

With Messe Düsseldorf GmbH organisers of trade fairs and conventions also have a reliable and strong partner by their side in Corona times. Customers Benefit from Experience acquired so far

Three major general-interest events were held successfully at Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in September: first the caravanning and hiking trade fairs CARAVAN SALON and TourNatur in early September with a total of 107,000 visitors, a little later the Anime Convention DoKomi with 28,000 participants.
In so doing Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Düsseldorf Congress have made a statement for the convention industry as a whole and sent out important signals to all organisers of guest events and conventions: exhibitions and conventions can also be held successfully in Corona times and are an important step towards normality in business life. “Holding these events we have acquired valuable know-how which we can now use for the benefit of our customers. Many aspects can be transferred 1:1 to other events or adapted to the individual sector’s needs,” explains Kirstin Deutelmoser, Director of Guest Events at Messe Düsseldorf.
 

Eight Guest Events in the First Six Months of 2021

In early 2021 Messe Düsseldorf GmbH has some important guest events on the agenda: Kicking off the cycle will be METAV from 23 – 26 March 2021 organised by the Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association – VDW). In part concurrently Flotte Medien GmbH will hold ‘Flotte! Der Branchentreff’ from 24 – 25 March. This will be followed by bio West from 16 May 2021 – the organic trade fair for specialist retailers. 18 – 20 May 2021 will see organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH hold not one but several events in parallel: Aluminium – the world’s No. 1 trade fair for the aluminium industry held in Düsseldorf. At the same time, the trade fair trio PSI, viscom and PromoTex Expo will be held after being postponed from January. Immediately afterwards INTERBRIDE will take place – the specialist trade fair for bridal fashion, grooms and evening wear.   

   
                      PROTaction Campaign: Tailor-Made Hygiene Concept

The Hygiene and Safety Concept of Messe Düsseldorf is entitled PROTaction. Alongside channelling visitor flows by means of personalised online 1-day tickets, the backbone here is compliance with the distancing, hygiene and face mask rules.  To ensure compliance with the provisions, trade fair staff – so-called PROTaction-Guides – tour the halls. Another element that has proven its worth at the events held so far is the full registration of all exhibitors’ employees incl. stand construction staff.
